The focus will be on the history of the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal, the Potomac River, and the wildlife that survives there! We will learn about canals, how they work, and early American transportation! We will discover the unique and endangered plants that survive along the flooded banks of the Potomac as well as various reptiles, birds, and mammals!
We will focus on hiking, backpacking safety, and bouldering techniques. You will accomplish a 4 mile loop along the famous "Billy Goat Trail," rated as one of Maryland's most challenging hiking trails!
We will focus on how we can "survive" being a Christian in today's immoral society. We will discuss temptation and how we can put on the "Armor of God," in order to follow in Christ's footsteps no matter what obstacles and challenges we may face!
