The weapon I carry is more powerful than anything I ever used or was exposed to in the military. The weapon I carry can destroy the most powerful of our enemies. The weapon I carry can protect me against the fires of Hell. The weapon I carry can save souls. The weapon I carry has beads for bullets, a crucifix for a sword, and can fit in the palm of my hand. The weapon I carry is the rosary.
In the words of Our Lady to the children of Medjugorje on August 8, 1985, “Dear children! Today I call you especially now to advance against Satan by means of prayer. Satan wants to work still more now that you know he is at work. Dear children put on the armor for battle, and with the Rosary in your hand defeat him! Thank you for having responded to my call.”
Cool History of the Rosary: The first use of the rosary in any general way was among the monks of the Orient. The notion of prayer beads being the “spiritual sword” of the Eastern monk is reflected in Western practice. That is insofar as Western monks and friars who wear some form of the Rosary on their habit generally wear it hanging from their waist on the left side — the same side where men were once accustomed to wearing their swords. Rosary Picture Book: Underneath the "Spirit Tab" on the Menu bar you can click on "Rosary." I have included flip-picture books to aid in your meditation of the rosary. Many of the pictures I included are from a favorite artist of mine, Carl Heinrich Bloch. Enjoy!
I love the flip-picture book. What a blessing to say the rosary with you every morning!
